1. Eleven pitch nights, nothing. Fixed a deployment issue free for an accelerator alum and got added to a Slack of sixty people. Three weeks later I was at a dinner with two founders who'd closed a Series A.

2. I asked three second-time founders in Sydney whose dinners were worth going to. Same two names each time, neither with any public profile.

3. Declined twice from an LP event as an associate. A partner walked me into the third and nobody checked anything at all.
