Asked at the trade counter in Alexandria who buys the decent brass. Two names, neither with a website. One's done every job in my building for nine years.
One quoted $450 fixed sight unseen, which is a guess with a price on it. The one I used charged $140 an hour to diagnose and $680 fixed after. Forty minutes to find a failed flexi hose.
The strata's approved list is four names from a 2017 tender. The building manager uses one of them for everything.
